The Northern Virginia Transition Coalition (NVTC,) is comprised of dedicated representatives from multiple school systems, colleges, and agencies that work with students and young adults with special needs. Our vision is ensuring that all students in Northern Virginia with disabilities have the knowledge, skills, resources, and supports to be successful in their transition to adulthood. In order to achieve this, we strive to provide students with opportunities to learn more about their choices. We promote a bi-annual college and career fair, Future Quest, bringing together speakers, venders, and agencies related to transition. Topics include (but are not limited to) financial resources, accommodations, self-advocacy, assistive technology, disclosure of disability, college life, and career explorations.
